Blog Assignment #11

Sometime soon after Friday's class, describe the topic your group has chosen in as much detail as you can.

In a sentence or three, describe the topic of the wiki. Then, explain where you think your wiki ought to go. What is the purpose of writing a wiki on that topic? What sub-topics should it cover? What kinds of primary and secondary research will you have to do? (Will you need to interview people on campus? Who are they? Are there Internet or print sources at your disposal? What are they?)

Important: Do not consult with other group members about your post. The idea here is to see if you are all on the same page as far as the topic is concerned and to creatively freewrite about where you think the topic ought to develop. Your posts will give you something to talk about at your next meeting. ;-)

  1. My group is going to create a wiki on the new aquatic center being built, why its needed and general information about it. The purpose is to inform the community and [future] students about knowledge on the aquatic center and how it will improve the university. It will cover sub-topics such as what it is, why its being built, how much it costs, general information like that. We can interview the builders who are working on it, the head of the project, and even the athletic director. We can also find research about it online as well

  3. We're yet to concretely decide on a topic, although the clothes thing seems likely. Babbling Bishops also looks like a possibility, but we definitely need a concrete idea soon.

  4. Through research online, inerviewing the athletics director, and possibly members of the swim team, I hope to answer the following questions about the Meek Aquatics Center in our group's wiki...
    - Who is funding this project?
    - Why is it being built?
    - What will be included in it?
    - When will it be finished?
    - What further additions are being made to the athletics department?

  5. Our group is going to write a wiki on intramural sports at OWU.
    We want to answer the following questions
    -What sports are offered
    -When are they offered
    -How much of a time commitment is it
    -Who can participate/ How do you sign up
    -What are the benefits
    Also, we will try to interview current players.

  6. We're doing the intramural sports program. We should cover what sports are offered when, how to build and register a team, and maybe even how to play. Our purpose is to inform people that have heard of them and are interested. The sub topics are probably just fall winter and spring, and we'll have to look up what all the offerings are, what participants thought of the experience, and how popular they are.
